1  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Help me decide how to arrange the hexagons for my blanket! on: May 31, 2010 05:16:07 PM
I've gone a little hexagon crazy lately, and decided to make a blanket with a hexagon pattern.  I used Red Heart Super Saver yarn (trying to get rid of it) in five different colors.  Currently there are 13 hexagons in each color, and some of the patterns I might do require 14 each to be even.  It should be pretty obvious from the pictures where I would need to make additional hexagons to fill them out.   I intend on going around the edge of the blanket with a couple of rows of dc's, probably in the deflt blue color (lighter blue).

I thought it might be fun to see which pattern y'all thought would make the prettiest blanket!  I arranged them into four patterns and took pictures, feel free to suggest new patterns!

OPTION C
5 additional hexagons for this one as well.

OPTION D
5 more here too.
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Shoulder padded dress (ahhhh!) to an actual wearable one on: August 01, 2008 07:32:41 PM
I found this dress at a thrift store for about $2.  I was appalled to find it had shoulder pads in it, and quickly set to work to deflate some of the 80's out of this dress!!  Cut the shoulder pads out, shortened it, gave it some shape, and shortened the sleeves as well.  Although it still has some of the 80's left it, I think it's actually wearable.

Thanks!  Comments and Suggestions are appreciated!!
