Wow. I feel like such a slacker. I've only gotten one quilt done on my list. Granted, I took a detour and made two baby quilts, but still! I'm going to have to work extra hard if I want to have another list item finished before the end of month.

I'm not entirely sure I know what you mean by sprinkle, but the quilt is lovely.

What a great first quilt! And being a MLP:FIM fan, I just had to come comment on it. I always forget that felt is an option when doing appliqué. No worries about raveling.

Those are both stunning.  Great job!  You coordinated fabric so perfectly; I reeeally love the colours in the first one.  How big are they?

The one for the baby (the first quilt) is about four feet square. The other one is roughly 40 inches by 36 inches.

The randomness of the first quilt was mostly planned waterbaby. But I had to fabrics here and there as I sewed the top together to make up for all fabric that ended up in the seams. But that's par for the course whenever I take the randomness route for a quilt. I just make sure that I have coordinating fabrics standing by.

There's a couple I work with on a regular basis to take care of the kids in my church's nursery. They had their second child last month and I decided to make a quilt for the baby as a gift. Then, I figured I should make a quilt for the big brother (who's all of 1 1/2 years old), to be fair.

It came out bigger than I was planning (about four feet square), but the parents had been looking for something they could use as a floor mat for the baby. Hooray for serendipity.

I did a self-binding of the backing fabric.



I'm pretty happy with how these came out and I was glad that they were happy to get them. Plus, these quilts were made completely from stash, so I'm slowly whittling down my fabric stash.

Your stitches look perfectly fine to me. I need to find some nails so I can hang them up with my other hoops.

Silly me, I forgot to put my zip code in my address when I PM'ed lindy. But after getting that resolved, I'm happy to say that I have received my birthday package.



I like the steampunk aesthetic, so lindy stitched up some gears for me. Steampunk diptych!



I'm always glad to get more fabric for my stash, so these two fat quarters are a welcome treat.

That's the great thing about food fails, you can always eat the evidence. But seriously, good job!

Is there a particular step to attaching the binding that you're scared of? For me, it was the idea of hand-stitching to the back. I finally just said, "Forget that noise!" and machine stitched the entire binding. It looked fine and I had a quilt ready to donate to Project Linus.
