I was invited to a baby shower that happened a couple of days ago. And because I have more time than money, I made this quilt.
It's just about 24 square inches and was made completely from my fabric stash. The middle is a batik scarf I got from Hobby Lobby years ago. Then I just found bright colors that I thought looked nice together. This is the back:
It's sort of a wonky log cabin design. I just kept adding fabric around the pink square in the middle until it was big enough. I'm still too much of a wuss to do real binding, so I made sure that the gold borders were wide enough to wrap around to the front so I could self-bind. I was late to the baby shower, but I got there in time for her to see it, finished, when she opened presents.
