41  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: What's your weird guilty pleasure? on: August 15, 2008 10:17:35 PM
pickles and milk! when i was a kid i'd drink milk with everything and pickles were my favorite food. nothing goes with pizza as well as milk..
i had a friend who ate sherbet with diced raw onion in it. that was weird.
42  CRAFTING FOR GOOD AND NOT EVIL / Crafty Charitable/Social Causes / Re: Quilt Project on: August 15, 2008 01:50:00 PM
i agree - go out and ask for donations. emphasize the life skill development and people will probably respond well. i'm new to quilting (just starting my first pieced top) and i think it's important to convert that crafty energy into community serving causes. what you're doing is fantastic! i hope it all works out and you post pictures of it!
43  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: My First Quilt - Orange! on: August 15, 2008 01:17:33 PM
i love orange! and the flame fabric might be too loud or out of place on another project, but it fits in so perfectly here. what an awesome job!

46  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Re: Octopus dress on: August 14, 2008 09:35:27 AM
I think leaving the print for the skirt and using a solid top was the right idea. It looks awesome! & I can't get over your daughter's hair - she's so gorgeous!

btw, my mom says I didn't stop with the passy until my folks "lost" it. that was all they had to tell me and I was over it. they kept it in case of a melt down but I never found it..

49  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Introduce Yourself / a new girl. on: August 07, 2008 01:40:25 PM
I'm Sarah. I sew & cross stitch & paint. I'm a writer. And a secretary.

I'm on here to find motivation to release those crafty energies. I also want to learn to knit but I don't know anyone who knows how and teaching myself from a book is difficult...

Anywho.
50  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Re: Everything I've beaded! Very pic heavy! on: August 06, 2008 04:23:40 PM
I love love love the way you've used the multiple strand. I think that's a very classy, airy way of using all the beads. What nice work!
