1  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Re: Boring bathroom redone (img Heavy) on: July 29, 2008 08:25:15 AM
Oh, I love it!  I have a condo with such potential, but as I rent as well, I've little option other than curtains.  They really do spice up a room, and you've done a great job with the colors!

On a side note, I did the same thing with my awful shower door.  I moved in before the condo was finished, and already had a curtain I loved.  When the contractors came to install that rancid door a week later I begged them to leave it out.  They had orders though, so the curtain covered it right back up when they left!  Grin
2  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / Re: Ferret toob :) on: July 29, 2008 08:20:42 AM
Do they use it alot?  I've made hammocks for my ferret; he lives in the first one, and only chews up the second, even though they're almost exactly the same!  My husband and I have spent more money trying to find toys and furniture he'll like and usually strike out!  Roll Eyes

Oh well, it looks cute though, and not too hard - I may give one a try!

Oh, delicious chicken nugget!  Your stencil is fantastic, thanks for the humor!  Grin

I don't think there's anyway I could put something that pretty on the floor and walk on it!  I bet it makes the bathroom look great though, the design is so simple and gorgeously so.
5  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: My Very First Sewing Project on: July 29, 2008 07:36:42 AM
Your pillow looks nice, great start!  My mom was a costume designer, so I got my start sewing buttons, cutting patterns, and serging around leaves and feather-type things.  My first real solitary project was her forcing me to make my own bedroom curtains when I wanted new ones.  God I hated doing that at the time, but now I sew everything for my house, my coworkers' uniforms (I'm in the military), and my husband and my reenactment hobby.  It's so useful, so always appreciate those family sewing projects!  Wink
6  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Cute pin-up girl embroidery on: July 29, 2008 06:18:58 AM
Adorable design!  Reminds me of the embroidered towels my grandmother had, with the kewpie-faced vegetables and spice shakers on them.  Don't know why I never thought to do this for my towels at home, instead of the sad, worn little Target ones I have.
7  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: Home sweet... SOLD!!~ Window Treatments **Fat with picture goodness* on: July 29, 2008 06:02:14 AM
Congratulations selling the house, I bet the window treatments did have a lot to do with it.  Odd, isn't it, if a house looks more cared for and loved through little details, it gives a buyer so much encouragement to purchase.

And you've given me some great ideas, thanks!
8  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Re: Can you tell I love red and gold... and thrift-shopping? on: July 29, 2008 05:58:04 AM
In every picture, I see something of which I'm jealous.  After perusing the photos again, I've decided it's just your sheer decorating talent.  Your place looks amazing!
