3  more recycled jeans to purses in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by swapshop on: May 24, 2011 11:32:51 AM

my latest bag from the bits left over from jeans - even (especially) the seams

it's double fronted and the  zip top is the jeans zipper

this one is a keeper and inspired by my previous efforts  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=376727.0

I really enjoyed the process and the panels remind me of flowers/roses?

it's for my niece starting college to carry round her books and stuff .. hope she likes it as i was actually reserved on the embroidery - compared to my other bags (see my blog http://shesewsonsunday.blogspot.com/2009/04/what-i-did-with-rest-of-jeans.html  )

9  Re: Huge color wheel (my first quilt!) in Quilting: Completed Projects by swapshop on: September 05, 2010 03:09:47 AM
i love your progression -- especially the centre flower to 'enhance' the middle where the stitches cross - i had that issue to - check mine out http://shesewsonsunday.blogspot.com/2009/04/colour-wheel-finished.html
i also went on to try black http://shesewsonsunday.blogspot.com/2010/01/top-assembled.html- and made it even bigger by adding edges - still not quilted it yet - but your idea of different threads is also catching Grin
