1  Mini Messenger in Linen in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by MegVS on: May 03, 2009 04:22:16 PM
Hi!  I made this little messenger bag for a friend.  I used Heart of Mary's tutorial for the most part.  I didn't make a zipper top but inserted a zipper pocket instead.  I found the linen hard to get smooth!  It looks even more wrinkly in the photos, I think.  However, I am really pleased with how it came out!  I put more about my adjustments on my blog: http://fashionedbymeg.blogspot.com/2009/05/small-messenger-and-learning-to-quilt.html

2  Margaret Sling Bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by MegVS on: April 26, 2009 05:39:30 PM
I have been wanting to make this pattern by Oh Fransson!  since she came out with at Christmas.  I made this for my SIL for her birthday, and I am so excited to give it to her.  I used the Robert Kaufman Pear fabric again that I used on the Highbrow Hobo: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=294586.0  I just love this fabric!

3  Summer Blouse in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by MegVS on: April 24, 2009 09:33:34 AM
My mom made me the summer blouse from Weekend Sewing by Heather Ross, but I found the shirt too short and the sleeves to long.  So I modified and came up with this.  I blogged about the modifications more specifically here: http://fashionedbymeg.blogspot.com/2009/04/summer-blouse.html

Overall, I love the fit but don't know if it was the right fabric.

5  Smashing Smock from a Smashing Sheet in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by MegVS on: April 11, 2009 12:15:44 PM
I made up this sweet little shirt from Anna Maria Horner's book "Seams to Me".  I found this pretty vintage sheet, and it actually reminded me a lot of her fabric.

Too cold for it yet, so I have been wearing it with this cute cardigan!

I wrote more about the adjustments I made on my blog: http://fashionedbymeg.blogspot.com/2009/04/smashing-smock-in-vintage-linen.html

6  Purse Organizer in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by MegVS on: March 04, 2009 02:39:25 PM
I make so many bags that I decided I needed something so I can switch bags easily.  I used Studio Kat Designs PortaPockets pattern, and while I am please with the result.  It was the most tedious project I have done in awhile.  Lots of things to cut out and sew and get confused about.  Grin

Outside- Lots of pockets.  I love these polka dots.

Inside.  This shows the "wallet" side mostly.  The other side has a billfold, big interior, and two more pockets.

7  Highbrow Hobo in Pears in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by MegVS on: February 28, 2009 04:59:09 PM
I finished this bag this past week.  It is Uhandbag.com's new pattern.  It was a little harder than I thought it would be, but I think it was well worth the effort.  I made it in some new Robert Kaufman pear fabric.  I love the look of it!  It is a really big bag.  I like the look of the D-rings too.

8  Lots of Pockets Tote in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by MegVS on: February 20, 2009 10:47:41 AM
Are you sick of me yet?  Roll Eyes
We are going to CA tomorrow, and I made a new bag for the trip!  It is the Lots of Pockets tote by Keyka Lou.  I am addicted to this fabric, and I am loving this bag.  It took me about three hours from cutting to finishing.

Don't you love these front pockets?  They are perfect for your phone and keys!

Inside- already filled up!

9  Mini Keychain Clutches in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by MegVS on: February 19, 2009 11:43:59 AM
I have made a few of these mini keychain clutches.  They turned out so cute.  They are small, but perfect for adding to your keys and putting your phone and some cards or cash in.  The pattern is by Keyka Lou on etsy.  What do you think?

All of them.

Matching tea wallet for this one!

10  Couple More Mail Sacks in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by MegVS on: February 14, 2009 04:43:22 PM
I have made a couple more mail sacks.  The first one is in Amy Butler's Daisy Chain fabric.  It looks like a winter morning to me.  It has nice soft look to it I think.  The second is in Michael Miller's Bohemian Babes fabric.  Love, love, love it.  So tempted to keep this one for myself.  It is very bright and cheerful.  This is a Pink Chalk Studio pattern.

This last one shows what it looks like wearing it.  For some reason this one came out fuzzy. Undecided
