11  Black Floral Dress in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by TexasThistle on: February 07, 2009 02:01:54 PM
I bought this fabric a couple ears ago with the intention of making a dress.  I finally got around to it this month. What do you think?

It looks a lot like a pin-up dress to me. I need to lose a bit more weight for it to fit properly though.

I make hemp necklaces while watching tv

First up is a blue/yellow twisted hemp necklace. I felt that adding beads and trinkets would take away from the design:

second is  a twisted hemp choker with teal pony beads

19  3 finished quilts. in Quilting: Completed Projects by TexasThistle on: January 08, 2009 05:21:57 PM
These are not part of my "20 quilts by December 2009" project. just some UFO's that are now FO's.

The first is a qilt given to me by my DH's grandma. It was hand-quilted halfway and didnt have any binding. I finished quilting it by machine and added binding. everything else was made by his grandma.

The second was a baby gift for some friends of ours who just had a baby.

Front of quilt:

back with applique

this one is one of the first quilt tops I ever attempted (about 3 years ago). i finally finished it today

what do you think?
