My local Goodwill has a bargain basement where all the usually unwanted things get sold. Today they had two boxes full of patterns and I bought all the ones that werent chewed on by some criiter. 74 patterns, all vintage, and all for 5 bucks.

I had a couple yards of batik that I wanted to use, and I created this:



it has criss-cross straps in the back. There are pleats along the front of the bodice.

I made these with lion brand suede (one skein made all this ) that was just swapped to me. they are super soft and comfy.

I vowed not to buy any more beads until I had de-stashed but these called to me, they are my favorite colors and I just had to make myself a necklace. What do you think?

I am trying to thin out my beads...sadly, this did not even cut a notch in the amazing amount of beads I have. Here are my efforts so far:

I spent a loong time on these jeans and killed 5 needles (not to mention the attempted murder of my sewing machine....*sigh* I think I am going to buy an industrial strength sewing machine for future denim projects in order to preserve my poor sewing machine). This idea has been in my head for a long time ever since a friend reminded me of a dress design I once did called "blue lightning"....i have had this fabric for a while and used some of it on this (the rest is going to be a matching corset). This is really modivating me to lose weight, I can't wait to wear it!!!
