Oh those are beautifull tattoos! I love tattoo art as well, I really want to be a tattoo artist but it has been very difficult for me to get an apprenticeship around here. Becuase I live in a smaller town they are such a tight knit boys club that they are hesitant to even talk to me about an apprenticeship. So annoying. I'll keep trying though. Thanks for telling me about what sparrows are a symbol for in tattoo art. Now I know why I was drawn to them so much. I can really relate to the idea of being free because I am true to myself. Thanks for looking at my work too! It means a lot to me when people take the time to appreciate something I have made.

Something that always sticks out in my mind is that a lot of times our culture of mass marketing and superstores often skips from Halloween straight to Christmas and they sort of glaze over the rest of fall, but fall is my favorite season so I like to savor it. So whith this in mind and also experimenting with my new sparrow design I made these earrings:

I included these green and brown beads that reminded me of a nest.

They are also pretty big, because I really like earrings that make a statement.

725  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Owl Plushie Tooth Fairy Pillow on: October 18, 2011 02:46:40 PM
I have been trying my hand at designing my own patterns, and I came up with this little guy! I am so enchanted by little things that ignite the magic in childlike mythologies like the tooth fairy and elves from the north pole. So here is my Owl Plushie Tooth Fairy Pillow.

you guys should try it! Here are somethings that I do to make them come out the way I want them: A.) I heat my oven to 350 instead of 325 like it sayd on the package B.) I use a flat, smooth, metal spatula to flatten them right after they come out, I do this to all of them because even if you can't see it they all need it. c.) I use prisma color colored pencils they give the richest most uniform color, and they melt nicely into the shrink plastic so the back is not rough or boogery like some other things tend to be after the shrinking process. d.) I put a light coat of indoor/outdoor varnish on the back. I have tested them for durablility and they withstand the shower, being washed in the washing machine, sun exposure, and long term daily wear.

I hope those tips help if you want to try this. It really is a rewarding craft.

yes the birds are shrinky dinks. Sometimes I get flack for using shrinky dink, but I think it is so versitile. I love it.
