392  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Leaf Cane Jar - Now With Pictures! on: July 29, 2008 06:42:37 AM
This is a little jar I made using my first attempt at a leaf cane.  It's about 3 inches tall and I made it to hold my rings when I take them off in the kitchen while cooking.  This is my first attempt, at making a jar, and a cane both.  Since I wasn't sure how it would turn out, I just used some leftover colors from another project, but I thought they actually worked quite well together and I'm not sure if I would have intentionally put that combination together.  The base was made with marbled turquoise and translucent clay.  I had originally intended to have all the leaves be three-dimensional, but I ended up rolling out smooth and just leaving the lid 3D.  The only thing I'm unsure of, which you can see clearly in the third picture, is the little white circles in the translucent clay.  I've never had that happen with any other projects, and I'd appreciate any suggestions for preventing it in the future....

This is the first project I've posted, so go easy on me  Cheesy
