Alabamanda yeah it's simply a lightbulb on a cord, apparently you can buy them at Ikea but the nearest Ikea to me is an hour away so i did a search around my area, nowhere seemed to have them but i did find the parts to make it, you can buy a light socket and a cord and just attach them together pretty easily and that's what i ended up doing and it's working out quite nicely.
creatively chelsea marie i was also thinking about using these at a wedding (mine won't be for some time still but the brainstorming is tons of fun) i thought that made with a smaller template and used as a part of a centerpiece with those little LED candles inside would be really sharp. also i thought that instead of cutting out hundreds of pieces you may be able to get a print shop to dye cut them for you, i'm not sure of the exact price but i know that as far as dyes go this one would be relatively inexpensive (no tight corners, simple shape) that would save you HOURS of work and i think is definitely worth looking into!
hey, thanks for answering. where did you find all the parts to make it? i think i'm going to start actually making the paper parts this week, but can you maybe explain how you made the cord-light part?
