21  Re: Yarnies Scavenger Hunt Round 5 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by clumsy_momma on: April 22, 2011 04:21:41 PM
I received today! I was spoiled  Grin Picture heavy..and large, I don't know how to resize them on here. Sorry

Look at the package...Awesomeness

Something local:

lavender and patchouli soup

Green:

Green tea which I am going to need for a relax day on Sunday

Recycled:

An elephant made from her boy's old ties! How cute is this..I love elephants

Hard:

Rocks and seaglass from her hometown. Which is funny because I almost sent her some rocks from where I live now but its more mountain-ish and not as many cool rocks as the beach

Funny:

Some seriously funny knitting patterns/models. I'm going to have to make some of these! Here's an example of some of the patterns:

"M":

Mix-it-up earings. Really neat idea!

dotted:

Felted nesting bowls. cute and I needed some new ones. Sorry for the little one's toes. She was oohing and ahhing over everything and tried to claim the glass/rocks!

Sender's choice:

A patchwork cowl with drawstrings so it can also be used as a ear warmer or hat...Which is on my head right now.

thanks a million slickmariavic! I love it all.

Warning: Picture heavy! I received from rosyposie yesterday and it was awesome...My other half finally had to look at me and remind me that he isn't all that interested in my swaps, etc...especially when it comes to books. My little one was super excited though. Just an FYI, I'm horrible with taking pictures and can never get them right

First off, the books:

And tons of them. A little of everything Smiley

And my favorite:

On to the crafty goodness:

A wallet to go with my handwriting analysis book

An adorable bag with Binet on it (I'm a psychology major)

Some adorable paper beads (I couldn't get a good picture of them) and this gorgeous origami flower...Its suppose to be a bookmark, but I can't use it for that. I think I found the perfect home for it though...rosyposie, if you have better pictures, feel free to post them.

Thanks again rosyposie!

24  Re: Destash Swap Gallery sendouts: 1/22/10 in The Swap Gallery by clumsy_momma on: January 22, 2011 04:43:55 PM
I received from peihan17 yesterday! We both ended up doing a medium flat rate, and I can see why considering everything that was in there!

Tons of fabric pieces because I want to get more into sewing! Yarn to help my knitting obsession, and some fun stuff for my little girl (which made her very happy btw!) like pipe cleaners and some fun shapes to make her pictures "really fancy" in her words. The white fabric is actually lace, but I'm horrible at figuring out my camera!

thanks again peihan17!

So, like I said earlier, edenkitty is awesome. I still can't get a good shot of the stitch markers that she made (edenkitty, if you have a picture of them, will you please post?)...I'm going to try playing around with my camera again later today. I wore the scarf and hand warmers today and they are awesome!

Here's the scarf:

And with more of the detail <3

The handwarmers:

with owls on each one!

27  Re: Children's Scavenger Hunt GALLERY OF GOODNESS in The Swap Gallery by clumsy_momma on: November 08, 2010 02:52:42 PM
So, we recieved today from dragonslair and Sky was very excited!

Forgive me if I don't have the categories correct:

Something long -
A reversable apron that she is still wearing

Something 'G' -
A froggy spong for bath time

Something green-
Green playdough that she made

Something food related-
A little snack bag with some chocolates in it

Something to read-
A Bratz coloring book

Something warm-
A crocheted hat

Something to hug or snuggle:
A cute tiny little bear

And then a little princess necklace where you can change the faces with several different princess options.
Not a good picture of it, but I hadto post because of her face!

Thank you dragonslair

Alright, I'm going to say sorry in advance for the long post! ilovesnails is an awesome lady! Anyways, on with the heavy pictures!

So, let me say that when I opened the box there was a yummy smell coming out of it and I had to find out what it was! And behold, a scented heating pad:

It is nice and big which will do wonders! Right now it is in the bathroom and making it smell wonderful in there.
And then there is a super cute eye mask that matches the heating pad:

Which my little one wanted to steal

Then there is this:

Which holds:

There are so many uses for this besides holding wipes and I love the way it closes!
She also included something for my little one which she is really happy about!

And finally, my favorite:

This is the cutest little number I have seen in a while and I am amazed at ilovesnails sewing abilities especially because they both fit and it is so hard trying to find cute stuff that fits being that I am an XS and wear a 32A...Not all that fun...I love the deep V neck that she did

Oh, and I did forget! An extra:
some pretty and soft yarn

I love everything and want more of the nighty sets! Thanks a million ilovesnails! I think I got everything...if I forgot anything please forgive.

29  B-day knitting in Knitting: Completed Projects by clumsy_momma on: August 26, 2010 05:54:33 AM
So, my little girl's birthday was this week and I did a ton of knitting. I'll spare you with posting everything and just post my favs:

The dress is way to big, so I'm going to have to figure something out with the straps...Probably just cross them in the back or something. I had to hand sew the bottom part of it because I don't know how to work a sewing machine. Excuss little miss nosy Basset...She's a camera hog also. Thanks for looking!

I recieved today! I would like to give a big ol' thank you to froggmomma!!

I was pretty impressed with the weight of this box and it made me all the more eager to open it up! Sorry for being image heavy.

For long: Tons of yarn! 3 balls of sock yarn and an alpaca blend yarn! Both in these really pretty gray/black tones. <3

Less than two inches is a cute crochet ring that I am already planning on adding it on to a WIP

Golden: Super amazing stitch markers in several different shapes. I can't wait to use them!

Lumpy: votive candles and candle holders. Very cute and will work great in the new place that we are getting ready to move into!

Something local is something that has already been snatched by the other half! Some wing sauce from froggmomma's favorite place.

Something related to the letter L: A loop d loop scarf that if it wasn't 90 degrees right now I'd be wearing it!

Sender's choice: an absolutely adorable bag that will work perfectly for my hospital trip tomorrow! I'm going to have to hide this one from the little one before she tries to steal it! There are also two cute embellishments on there that are removable!

Forgive the pictures, the dog was being nosy and trying to get into all of the pictures...
Also, the lining is AMAZING!

And an extra! A new knitting book that I've already found things to make for my daughter's upcoming b-day!

Thank you a million froggmomma! My first swap is over with and it went fabulous, I had tons of fun both crafting and recieving. Sorry for all of the exclimation marks.
