I'm so sorry I neglected to post photos of the two FABULOUS pieces Jill sent me, here they are.

The collage is of Donovan my Oriental Shorthair kitten and Ruin my Siamese. Here is the photo Jill's piece is based on:

Didn't she do an awesome job?
I'm moving soon so I haven't put them in their permanent spot yet, but they'll most certainly be in my new living room!

5  Jack Skellington Messenger Bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by InShambles on: September 06, 2010 02:11:19 PM
I made this for a swap last winter and thought I would share. I am a ridiculously slow at sewing so it took about 6 hours - including drafting the pattern - to make the bag, I also painted Jack with the tiniest brush imaginable (wtf was I thinking? Roll Eyes) so he took a good deal of time too. I was very pleased with how it turned out!

Ooooh stripey goodness!

And a pocket!  Tongue

6  A trio of portraits.... in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by InShambles on: September 06, 2010 02:02:04 PM
I painted these portraits recently and thought I would share. They're fairly small, only about 9 x 12 I believe and acrylic on canvas. Comments and criticism welcome!

Here are a couple more pics of the Jack Skellington bag and stocking.

I still can't locate my camera so these are just a couple I had on my cell. The bag flap and part of the inside are lined in the stripped fabric. Jigarkhwar, I also forgot to mention that if you choose to wear the strap long the little clips can be used to hold your keys and such. Wink I am so glad that you like everything as much as I love everything you made for me. Cheesy
Also, incase anyone is wondering, the green fabric in the 3rd picture is actually a reusable grocery bag & its little pouch. My family were having a good laugh about the multitude of pouches and bags I managed to create! LOL

Your son is adorable Aiki, what a little cutie.
Everything in this gallery is so awesome, everyone clearly put a ton of time and thought into everything. I hope we do this swap again next year.

Here are the AMAZING gifts I received from jigarkhwar, my camera is MIA amongst the Christmas rubble so these were taken on my cell. If they're exceptionally bad I will take new ones when I find my camera.

My two very favorite things, my very own Alice Cullen!! She is so amazing - fully jointed and I just found out as I was taking pictures that her dress is even removable! She must have taken you forever Amanda. And Alice tote inspired from a shirt on my wist, the bag is so much more awesome! I am addicted to totes, and I love that you painted her nails red and added AC to the license plate.

My awesome selection of supplies! A Jar of Whimsies, which I was so excited about! I've never gotten one before and there is so much fun stuff in there. And I LOVE the little nest with the pins in it ontop of the lid. Next is a button jar, filled with wonderful vintage buttons *squeeeeeeee* and very pretty lace. I seriously freaked out when I opened the vintage bias tape, there is so much of it in so many great colors, and it has that vintage smell (I know I can't be the only one that loves that lol)! The first package I opened was the great brush roll filled with a GREAT selection of paint brushes!!! I was insanely excited about these as they were very much needed and they are such nice brushes, oddly enough my mom also gave me brushes for Christmas but the teeny tiny sizes so I now have the full spectrum of awesome new paint brushes! Thread - I use so much thread it is crazy, so this is much appreciated. A very pretty rose piece to put on something (I adore roses). There was also some very nice deep red fabric that didn't make it into the picture.

All of my wonderful flower accessories - poppy Bobby pins and matching ring, rose brooch, furry rose headband, and lovely daisy hair clip. I absolutely love all of them and wore the ring & headband yesterday.

An Oscar Wilde necklace!!!!! Love it! Two other cute necklaces, two Chinese (I believe) bracelets, a Twilight pin (so cute!).

crocheted goodies - wash cloth, two star hot pads, and a pot holder. There was another wash cloth, but its currently in my shower so it didn't make it into the picture. LOL Can you ladies believe jigarkhwar actually JUST learned to crochet!?

I so *SQUEEEEEEEED* when I opened the tie pouch - such a cute idea! The other tie pouch is great too, and I love the little birdie one.

The GREATEST BROOCH EVER! I adore the rose-cameo-clock-victorianness of it! I plan on using it along with the great little coin purse its pinned to when I go out to dinner and such. An adorable little bag with beautiful vintage rose fabric, and the most adorable needle book ever!

A calendar, vegan stickers, vampire teeth (so fun!), a bath fizz, and an adorable card.

And this awesome vintage notions tote and Alice were my large gift! I love love love love them both so much!
There is also a wonderful, sooooo soft furry neckwarmer that didn't make it in the photos because I wore it all day yesterday, I will make sure its in the action shots I'm going to post when i find my camera.
Thank you so much for EVERYTHING Amanda, you really made my Christmas and I adore everything.

Montyfull's photos are beautiful but I thought I would post a few more, Miss Lillian is so beautifully done that there couldn't possibly be too many. Grin I absolutely ADORE her montyfull, everything about her is impeccable and she is going to be just perfect displayed on my mantle for the hollidays (I'll have to find somewhere else to display her for the rest of the year, she is just too cute to pack away!). Grin Also, these pictures do not do her justice. Wink

the beautiful yoke detail and her incredible hair:

showing her wonderful full skirt:

the wonderful hoop skirt:

not the most, ahem appropriate pose for a period lady, but here are her cute little feet! Cheesy

and here is the adorable candle ornament:

I didn't get photos of the candy cane ornaments because I have to glue them still, but they are adorable and luckily it will be a very easy fix.
I love everything so much!!!

I received the most AMAZING package from ysmeine yesterday. She made a stunning scarf which she named "Poppies and Pomegranates", it is inspired by pomegranates which were thought to be the actual forbidden fruit, and the fact that the fruit resembles tiny drops of blood. I love it so much! Ysmeine did such a beautiful job on the embroidery, AND the mirrors are made from cds! Isn't that awesome? Then she made me a GORGEOUS pair of wrist warmers (that I not so subtly hinted at... Shocked) and a matching hat. I cannot begin to tell you how much I love them!! And ontop of all that, she made me a very pretty necklace and matching earrings. I love everything so much, and i am just in awe of ysmeine's talent. Cheesy
I cannot for the life of me find my camera charger, so these aren't the best photos since I took them on my cell, but I used my photography lights so hopefully they aren't too bad. I didn't want to wait any longer to post!
Also, please excuse my silly photos. Tongue

I will add better detail pics when I find my charger, unless ysmeine has some. Smiley
