I finally got my package after I was flunked on and then got angled to and after customs hold it. Banana731 made me this lovely hook book which of course I filled as soon as I got the chance
I don't know why pinterest would upload the pic upside down :X ... But I have another shot of the whole outside so you can all (whoever is still reading this haha) admire this cute fabric she choose - I love woodland creatures!
And this is what I looks filled with my hooks, some needles and pins, scissors and a rotary cutter - two box cutters joined the pack by now
Thanks again Brianne for being such a sweet angle ♥
Oh well, since my partner bubblegum_phoenix has some problems with the site and has received my hoopla, I'll just post it.
I combined some themes from her pinterest - dragons, Game of Thrones and Harry Potter. The "extra" I used are only the paillettes for the dragon egg, but those were a pain to work with and I know what I'm never using again
My swap partner AuntieKar has gotten my package for a while now and didn't answer my question if she could post or not or any question beside that. So I'll post my stuff on my own.
They're a bit too big on my hands because I made them after her measurements - also I frogged them about four to six times because I forgot which hook I used inbetween the two parts so timewise it's a mega-large hahaha. One mitten was 2 inches wider and longer than the other.. that's the difference from a 5 and an 8 hook! I didn't use a specific pattern but made up my own on the go (took inspiration from some though )
It's Lady Gaga from the concert in the O2 Arena in '10 - I'm guessing it's from this outfit? I'm such a fan of her (an average-fan the most though hurr durr )
Love it! The colors are a rich purple and dark berry and it fits me so well! And the hoop goes really well with my others hoops:
Though I don't like the layout right now, the way they're hung up. But I'll change this when I moved in with my boyfriend - next swap should better have a theme where I can sneak in his favorites so he'll have a hoop for himself too
I received my beautiful hoop from tarmine626 today! Well she combined...
a Cheshire cat and an Alice and made...
a hoop! The overlapping parts are left unstitched but oh! look at those stitches!
Wait what? This ain't machine embroidery? Yep! That's some neat stitching! Impeccable. And to think this is her first embroidery piece (she did the "Video Games" cross stiched hoop on my wall before so I knew she's got skills before )...
Thanks so much Martine, I'll try extra hard to make your hoop good
