I also made a pair for the midnight premiere. So cute.

when you pull them out of the cork board, do the hello kitties come off of the tacks?
I was worried about that, but they have stayed stuck together very well. I used this gel type super-glue, if it makes any difference. I've been twisting them out of the cork pretty carefully though, just in case.

where did you find shrinky dink paper?
Truth be told, it was in a pile of old craft supplies in my basement, I must have bought it five years ago. But I believe I originally found it at Hobby Lobby. All you do is draw on the shrinky paper, cut out the picture, and put it in the oven for a minute or two. It shrinks to about 1/3 the original size. And thanks everyone for the compliments!

These came out SO adorable. I traced a 2" tall picture of Hello Kitty onto Shrinky Dink paper several times, colored them, cut them out, baked, and super-glued them onto flat thumbtacks. It doesn't get any easier! Or any cuter!

Here are the pictures of my POA-style Gryffindor scarf! The whole thing, a closeup on the fringe, and me wearing it (it's huge!!). I already bought the yarn to start one in Slytherin colors. =]

I FINALLY finished my scarf tonight! I just need to block it and add the fringe. I'll definitely post pictures once it's all done. =]

I'm still working on mine (no pics, sorry). I'm about to knit the 8th set of trapped bars. =]

I knitted a lot this evening, and I think it's turning out well so far. I've never knitted on the round - magic loop - or tried switching colors before, so it's a little tricky, but I'm figuring things out!

My burgundy yarn came in and I've started my scarf. Three rows down, MANY more to go! =]

I think I'm going to join this knit-along and make a PoA Gryffindor scarf. I have the gold-colored yarn (Plymouth Encore worsted) for the stripes, but the knitting store didn't have the shade of burgundy I need. I'm starting as soon as the order comes in, I'm so excited! =]
10  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: What music do you knit to? on: January 01, 2006 06:03:14 PM
Recently I've been listening to MuggleCasts on my iPod (I'm a HP geek!) but this past week I was listening to the Shakira CD I got for Christmas. :]
