323  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / polka dot pencil case on: September 02, 2008 01:27:40 PM
This is pretty much the first successful bag type thing that I have made. and I am so far happy with it.
I have tons of left over fabris too so I'm thinking that I might make a cell phone cosy (I have a habit of dropping my cell phone there are many dents in it now) as well as an Ipod cosy.

I am planning on adding a button or something of that sort to the longer corner

tell me what you think

328  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: Fortune Cookie recipe? on: August 17, 2008 05:59:37 PM
oo and the other problem that I had was the fortune was getting stuck in the cookies, and people (okay maybe just one) couldn't get it out.
Did you have this problem?
like getting stuck in the batter/dough?

yea.
maybe because they middle isn't completely cooked(?)
but if i cooked them any longer then they wouldn't fold.

I think that I have a better idea now
[I ordered thai food on my way home from work and got a fortune cookie]
Smiley now I just have to find the time to make them!

330  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: I love knitting but... on: August 08, 2008 03:31:15 PM
Clearly whoever thought that up has access to spaghetti that's a LOT longer then what we have here in the UK.  Still, I'd be lying if I said that for a moment I didn't consider trying this, lol!

I think what they meant was to knit each piece of spaghetti together to make one long chain.

Thats such a cool idea.
you could have a knitting dinner party. and invite all your friends who knit come over and chitchat
