22  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Re: what do i do with these WEIRD fat quarters??? on: January 27, 2009 07:58:49 PM
It's from a poem called The Owl and the Pussycat.

The Owl and the Pussy-cat went to sea
In a beautiful pea green boat,
They took some honey, and plenty of money,
Wrapped up in a five pound note.
The Owl looked up to the stars above,
And sang to a small guitar,
'O lovely Pussy! O Pussy my love,
What a beautiful Pussy you are,
          You are,
          You are!
What a beautiful Pussy you are!'

II

Pussy said to the Owl, 'You elegant fowl!
    How charmingly sweet you sing!
O let us be married! too long we have tarried:
But what shall we do for a ring?'
They sailed away, for a year and a day,
To the land where the Bong-tree grows
And there in a wood a Piggy-wig stood
With a ring at the end of his nose,
          His nose,
          His nose,
With a ring at the end of his nose.

III

'Dear pig, are you willing to sell for one shilling
Your ring?' Said the Piggy, 'I will.'
So they took it away, and were married next day
By the Turkey who lives on the hill.
They dined on mince, and slices of quince,
    Which they ate with a runcible spoon;
And hand in hand, on the edge of the sand,
They danced by the light of the moon,
          The moon,
          The moon,
They danced by the light of the moon.

Well for my very first swap on Craftster I have to say I'm a little disappointed.  I read through the rules and followed them.  Only 2 of my partners have posted pics, which I though was a requirement.

I'm starting to get a little worried now,  I still have not heard if Emmaline or Calliebuggie have received my packages.  They were all sent out on the same day and should have arrived before Christmas.

I got 2 packages today  Grin
The first one I opened was from Jehnaier,  she made a Elvegren PinUp book.  I collect everything and anything with Elvgren PinUps and am even getting one of them on my back as a tattoo, so you can imagine how thrilled I was at receiving this.  I love this book, the binding is so neat and it's very well made.

And next we have one from VelvetRose.  She sent a Rapunzel scarf, I had never heard of them or seen them before.  It's black and silver and will go with a lot of my clothing.  (Although my younger sister is trying to steal it off me)  I really like this and can't wait for it to get cooler so I can wear it.

Thank you to all of my swap partners, I love everything you sent!!
