Here is a couple of snap bags that I have made. The purse is called the snap happy purse. I designed the cosmetic pouch myself. The fabric came from Ikea. The closure is a measuring tape. Let me know what you think.
Here is the Jumo Glam bag which I just completed. It is quite easy to make and is quite large. It has an inside pocket that inlcudes a pencil pocket and closes with a magnetic snap. Let me know what you think.
Here are a couple of totes that I made last week. I cheated on the blue one and didn't use 2 layers of interfacing. I used 2 layers on the chocolate bag and it made a big difference. It was also my first time using a fabric covered button. They are much easier to use than I thought.
These are some little mini purses that I designed. The striped one was the first one. I made the other 2 larger because it was almost impossible to topstich the top on that one because it was too small to fit over the arm on the sewing machine. The floral one was next, but I thought the flap was a little out of proportion so I made the next one a little larger. I added an angled pocket on the back and a magnetic snap for the front. I used ultrasuede for the pockets and flaps on the larger bag. Heavy weight fusible fleece interfacing was used. Let me know what you think.
This is a design that I came up with myself. My son bought an Ipod and needed a case for it. He also needed a wallet. It has a vinyl cover over the screen, A small hole to insert the earbuds into, 2 pockets and one zippered pocket. It closes with Velcro. I have added a layer of thick interfacing between the layers for added padding. Comments and Criticism welcome. The pictures are a little grainy because I had to take them with my phone.
It is made with a 4" zipper. I have also added a layer of interfacing and a lining. This style is a little more forgiving when making the corners than the other boxy pouch. I used a 4x6 recipee card for the pattern. I trimmed the 6" length to match the full lenght of the zipper.
