1  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / Help with latex paint base!!! on: November 16, 2010 07:09:36 AM
Okay awhile back I got bought serval 5 gallon buckets of ext. latex paint, well the store screwed up and never tinted one, and they wont let me bring it back to be tinted and the other stores wont tint it cause it isnt there brand. it is a transulent off white, dryes almost clear and doesnt go on very easy so any suggestion on how to color it or wat to use it for, I dont want to just throw it out, would love some suggestions!!!!

P.s I live in a small town with just a walmart to get supplies from.

Here is a necklace I made for my sister awhile back, It was the first necklace of this time for me, I had never done one that wasnt strung on wire or string , I used eye pins to connect the beads together and the chain as the back and it took me forever to get the hang of makeing my own loop on the eye pins. C&C are welcome and any advice would be greatly apprecaited. Thanks for having a look..

Please excuse the dates I was in a hurry and skipped resetting the date after I changed the batteries in the camera, but these I made them all last week, I am pretty happy with them. Let me no what you all think even criticism is welcome. Thanks..

well I was curious about future, Pledge with future shine is this the right stuff? what I want is a nice shine and some type of durable protective coating for my jewerly, I make alot of pendants, beads and foodie charms.
I have tried clear nail polish well that sucked it work for a couple of wears but then got a tack very dity look to the charms. Then I tried spar urethane not bad but I have heard alot about future, any help would be appreciated, and do you have to re bake it after you aply it???

I made this for my sister,the cameo is made out of resin, and the necklace is black beads, theres 3 strands braided together!



I would love to hear comments and even suggestion, I had a little trouble with the way the pendant was wanting to lay it keep flipping over on me. It was rather frustrating!!

I was wanting to know about different places you find supplies , besides the obvious one like micheals or Joannes etc.
I have been visting our local hardware store lately, I found some washer for pendants and copper wire for cheap? With the economy I have had to try to find alternatives to use, like my o washers and copper wire, what about you?

I made these camoes out of resin, colored with arcylic paints.



  I will eventually turn them in to pendants. So what do you all think I would love to hear your

I was wanting to know a good place to order aanraku bails, not to terrible priced either, and what size do you normally use for scrabble tile pendants, I have a ton of scrabble tile pendants waiting on bails, any other ideas for bails....

Well I finally got a pasta machine last week! (does alittle dance) And I was hoping you guys could give me some advice, tips on using it. I have never used one before. It isnt electric it is the hand hand crank on with nine different settings. I so excited!!!

These are all made from polymer clay and will soon be add to charm bracelets,
