5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / HELP! with jean pockets.. PLEASE! on: September 24, 2008 11:39:44 AM
My idiot friend wears tight jeans, and he wants me to replace the front pockets. I am trying, but not succeeding Sad. I have to completely remake the pockets. I am frustrated. I would like to fix these jeans, because It seems he spent more on them then I did my entire wardrobe. I tried to post pictures of it, but I'm sure you can imagine what a pair of jeans minus pockets look like. If anybody knows of a tutorial, It would help, hours of sewing+hours of searching = one very frustrated craftster.
You guys always know what to do!

9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / First skirt in 3 years on: July 24, 2008 06:44:37 PM
Well its been awhile since I had a sewing machine. Got one for free on craigslist, and have been working on a quilt, but I needed a new skirt for the show tonight, the thrift-shop fabric shop had $1 per pound fabric the other day, and I had (almost) enough lace for the bottom. You don't really notice that its missing except for the last pic.  I'm not so great at posing. A few mistakes but no pattern and three hours, I can't wait to wear it tonight.

from the front (I'm much more shapley then this pic)

the back view (just a few inches too short with that lace and the wasteband should have been turned inside out

but it will be dark at the New Riders concert and it spins... David Nelson here I come!

Reading everybody's posts really got me wanting to make something other then quilts again.
