21  First ever zip purse and a tote in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by sazzra on: November 18, 2009 12:53:09 PM
I never think to post stuff after a swap, but below are what I sent for the recent matryoshka swap (thanks for reminding me with your post,mcook72677 Grin) . The zip purse wasn't as perfect as I'd have liked, but I was reasonably pleased Wink

First, said purse. The cute fabric is of course Japanese.

Next, the tote. I was quite pleased with this, especially as I used a 'strange' machine (mine's inaccesible due to dodgy back). The matryoshka design was scanned from a birthday card, and the Kath Kidston fabric was from a sample book at a local curtain making firm that was due to be thrown out. The white thing in her hair is a button, the face is felt on cotton

Green isn't my colour at all (my partner had listed olive as her favourite colour) but it actually looked really nice.

C&C appreciated Grin

Finally! So sorry for the delay - if you're ever offered Tramadol for pain relief, run. It is indeed the work of the devil!
Anyhoo, on to the goodies Grin
Firstly, a tote with gorgeously flowery matryoshkas on

Next, there's a very ingenious tape measure covered to look like a matryoshka's head. How on earth did you have the patience to cover that, Lynda??

Next, an egg shaped hand painted magnet

Then we have some gorgeous notecards that will be put up somewhere rather than sent Tongue

A felt doll (is this a dotee??) which nearly disappeared as one of my cats decided that it looked very interesting

And lastly my favourites - a necklace and bracelet with gorgeous red and black matryoshka beads, and the bracelet has silver matryoshka charms and red glass beads (which you could see if my picture were better - sorry Embarrassed)

Thank you so much Lynda - I love everything Smiley

ETA I edited/rotated the pics in the hosting bit, but they won't stay the right way up  Cry

I received today after a minor 'it's lost in the post strike!' panic Grin

First off, a sparkly scarf (the sequins don't show up too well Sad)

Then we have a fabulous clock made out of a wooden base with the album cover on it. It's also got sequins, a laced corsety top and Frank is wearing a nice set of pearls

Then a group shot of sparkly lip gloss (like REALLY sparkly), red glittery lips ring, brooch/pin and necklace (more pearls!), a pair of pearl earrings and a Frank keyring

And finally, my favourite, a Magenta rag doll Grin She's even got fishnets and patent shoes!

Thanks, coco-mac!

24  First freezer paper stencil (slightly pic hefty) in Stenciling: Completed Projects by sazzra on: September 27, 2009 09:31:19 AM
Due to freezer paper being distinctly lacking in these here parts, I've not got to play with it before, but I conned asked a friend to bring a roll back from the States and bless her, I now have a GIANT supply Grin So what do you try for your first project? Why, a very simple, uncomplicated design of course.

Yeah, just like that one. A nice wolf pack tattoo

Long shot

This was part of a friend's birthday present, as she's received, I can post it now Wink

And, just because, my cat wearing a halloween headband

ETA - Sorry, picture didn't want to stay rotated Sad

Sweet package!  I love the sequence on the Columbia canvas, really makes it pop!
Pop all over the place! I could only get that colour as strung sequins, so had to seperate them. Cue cat jumping into the middle of them, freaking out then running off, leaving a sparkly trail behind... Grin

Here's a close up of the neclace and earrings (I love my camera!)

27  Re: Embroided Tote/Bag! GALLERY ::: Send out 07/11 in The Swap Gallery by sazzra on: July 05, 2009 12:43:18 PM
As promised, pictures of the goodies Glamis sent me:

The bag itself

Totally getting my Matryoshka obsession, yet in a kitty way!

closer view

And inside (as well as a cute pen I forgot to take pics of  Embarrassed)

What's inside the sugar skull, you may ask?

Why, of course, it's a

Sewing kit! Yay!

I couldn't get a good pic of the inside, but it's a gorgeous blue with 3 pockets (a phone one, a snap fastened one holding the sewing kit and a big zipped one) AND 3 pen loops!

I have major swap anxiety now, as I love this so much Undecided

28  And another nestlace in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by sazzra on: May 12, 2009 11:25:55 AM
While I waited (in vain, as it turned out) for my computer in my craft room to start up, I twisted this together:

I'm now hooked! I can foresee a whole nest thing lasting all summer with the coloured wire I've got kicking around Grin

29  Felt cake smorgasbord in Completed Projects by sazzra on: May 12, 2009 11:20:58 AM
I've thrown together this little lot for a window display in a charity shop my mum works in - they're having a tea party themed 'thing' this Friday and, rather than raiding Gregg's the Bakers, I'm donating some non edibles Smiley

The stitching isn't my best work, and I didn't have foam so they're a bit too rounded, but as a first attempt I'm reasonably happy  Undecided
