I bought this great jean fabric at the store the other day and then was flipping through the Free People catalog I got in the mail today and came across this great dress. I'd love to make it, but it does look pretty complicated (to me, at least).

Any ideas for patterns?

I took this old window I bought at the flea market for $5:


Added some paint and glitter:


And ended up with a masterpiece:

So, I grabbed this old picnic basket (i think that's what it is...) when I found out it was only $1. The only problem: no handle and nasty interior. So I'm trying to get ideas on how to fix it up so I can bring it along for some lovely picnics! I'm thinking about lining it perhaps and making a leather(?) strap/handle. Thoughts?

I'm begining to actually sell some pieces in my etsy shop, and yesterday as I was packing up a (quite large) order, I thought "Hmmm...I should include some business cards from other Etsians in my packages!"

So...I'm wondering if anyone here would like to send me some promos to include in my packages ( or we could even do a promo swap, possibly). OR if anyone knows of a group that has an organized promo swap going on that I could get in on, that would be great, too!

Here is an Easter Dress I made for my sister. I'm pretty proud of it!  It took forever, though! The straps gave me the hardest time. But it looked really cute on her! I used a simplicity pattern to make it.

I have this research paper for school and we were able to make our own "Question", so I chose this one:

 My sister fell in love with this dress after seeing it in an American Girl Magazine. She wants me to make it for her for Easter. Do you have any ideas on how to go about this??? Any tutorials that you remember that could help me with the skirt part or even the top? Keep in mind this is for a younger girl.

Ok so I've finally decided to just get on with it and make my own duct tape mannequin. A couple of questions before I start though (for those of you who have made one yourself!) :

1. Are you able to stick pins through the duct tape?

2. About how long was it where you were actually wrapped up in the duct tape?

3. How many rolls did it take you? (I know this question will depend on size, but i'm just trying to get a rough estimate.)

Well, this was my first attempt at a "real" necklace and I think it turned out all right. It's really funky and I think it would really stand out it you wore it with a solid color shirt!
