so i am currently a freshman in college, and had to apply this semester to get accepted into the fashion design program at my school. it is super competitive (of about 100 applicants, they take 38), so to make myself stand out, i decided to make a crazy dress to go with my portfolio. i designed this dress and bought the fabric months ago, but about 2 weeks before my portfolio was due, i hadnt even started on the dress! so luckily i ended up being stuck in my dorm room for a week because of snow so i used that time to crank out this dress! i drafted the pattern, and sewed the whole thing myself. each of those ruffles was hemmed by hem, which is what took the longest but i am happy i took the time to do that because it looks perfect up close. anyways, here it is. and it did get me accepted into the fashion design program Smiley!

I made this little set of 5 bags for a project for a design class i am taking. i had so much fun making them! i wish i could have used a better lining, but i made them all the night before they were due and couldn't get to a fabric store. but they are all still really cute! i used a tutorial for one of them i think, and i just made up the rest as i went.
