1  Avatar Rotoscope in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by a_bongiovi on: March 27, 2010 08:25:39 PM

So, it's 10 pm, The Kids Choice Awards are over, so what should I do? ROTOSCOPE!! I've never actually done this, or seen avatar, but hey, I'm open to trying new things. I'm not really sure what to call this, but I see kids in my school's graphic design class do this all the time, so why not? I kind of consider this a small victory, cause i never have the patience to do this kind of thing on the computer.

SO this is the original

and this is the rotoscope overlaying the original.

And here is the final project.

And the Final Project in Green!!

2  Handmade Visual Journal (Pic heavy) in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by a_bongiovi on: January 25, 2010 07:08:08 PM

So after being inspired by many of the visual journals on here, I decided to make my own. And so far I have absolutely loved using it Smiley A lot of my ideas are influenced by others on here, so if you see an idea I used and want credit don't hesitate to ask for credit.
So I stared with a mix of lined and computer paper and i sewed it all together using embroidery thread.

And here's a lovely shot of my algebra textbook actually being of some kind of use to me he he Wink

I created the cover by using a top to a gift box and then I covered it with scrapbook paper. It didn't really fit, but i think the white on the edges is kinda nice. Then I posted envelopes in the front so i can have some kind of storage

and a (blurry) close up of the Eiffel Tower

And here are some examples of pages I've done

Here I write a word that kinda sums up the day and what I'm looking forward to (hehe it's not exactly finished)

I have A LOT of quotes in here, probably about 10-15 as of now.

I borrowed this idea from someone

This one I also borrowed from someone else Smiley

3  My friend and I in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by a_bongiovi on: April 25, 2009 03:06:57 PM
this one was kind of inspired by the watercolor ones that have been popping around lately. Mostly inspired the back ground and the was the people look. I opted to make the people black though. Its done on paper with crayola paint and black marker.

This one is my favorite that we did all year. Its done on black paper with some kind of fancy white pencil. My classmates voted this one best in my class. lol. Its my best all year Smiley.

This is another one I created for my art class. It's done on illustration board w/ color pencils. This one was in the student showcase and art show. I think i did this one around October/November ish.

I made this in September, i believe, for my art class at school. I just got it all back yesterday. Unfortunately this one was not featured in the student showcase, but it did get a place at the art show Smiley.

Its done on illustration board and is done in regular pencil and an ebony pencil.

I saw these at a local craft fair a couple of months ago and decided to make them to use as center pieces for my sweet 16. My party isn't until the end of march, but i wanna get an idea on how to do it. Any Suggestions?

9  Flap hat (Pic heavy) in Crochet: Completed Projects by a_bongiovi on: September 10, 2008 06:17:38 PM
I wasn't too sure what to call this but w/e/

So my friends birthday was last weekend and I had started this hat.

But I didn't think that I would see her on Saturday (b/c of a fh tournament she has to go to) Then it got rained out and she was like wanna chill? I thought I would have more time so I brought it to her house. I was making it and not only were they amazed at the fact i could crochet so fast but now they all want stuff. Then my friend wanted flaps and pom poms and such. Its easily the best thing I've made.

10  What I've been up to the past 3 weeks (Pic Heavy) in Crochet: Completed Projects by a_bongiovi on: August 31, 2008 12:58:08 PM
Well while all my nerdy friends we're at the schools mandatory band camp I got really bored and made a hat! This is my first attempt at an hat and it looks rather warped, but i've come to love it.

Than my friend was like oma (Oh my Atticus...Its a long story) you have to make me a pair of leg warmers for winter track. So here is my work in progress

This is the first legwarmer

This is the inside of it. I hope its not too small. Shes smaller than me thou and I can fit it on my leg if i try hard lol.

And this is the yarn I used! The pink is really soft and the gray is the same stuff i used for the hat.
