21  Felt Appliqued...Magnets? in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by plummy on: August 28, 2008 09:56:19 AM
Yup, I took my newfound love of felt to the next level--MAGNETS!  I got some free magnets the other day, and as I just moved I am very short on magnets, but decided that I didn't want the ugly advertising on my fridge.  So I did a little felt appliqué, added some beads, and glued that sucker on to the magnet for a lovely fridge decoration.  Thoughts?

22  Hair Clips--Flowers, Birds, Felt, Buttons and General Fun in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by plummy on: August 28, 2008 09:53:52 AM
I made these hair clips out of a variety of things I had laying around my house.  The one on the left is a felt appliqué that I made, based on a bird by Tokidoki (whose art I am in LOVE with!).  The next one is a flower folded in a  Kanzashi style (traditional to Japan, but interpreted by me, haha).  The last two are felt with a button and/or beads in the center.  I love cute hair accessories and recently I went insane making them, lol--these are just a few of what I made.  Tell me what you think!

23  Cute Dress From Old Tablecloth-Now with Partial Tutorial! in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by plummy on: August 28, 2008 09:44:51 AM
I made this dress from an old tablecloth I found at the Goodwill.  It is a circle skirt, and I had some problems with construction (I'm more of a put it together and THEN fix all the inevitable problems kind of girl, haha) but I think it turned out alright!  I am completely intimidated by zippers though, so instead of putting in a zipper at the waist (which would have looked nicer and probably would have been easier in the end) I put in a whole mess of snaps, disguised as buttons.  I usually wear it with a belt anyways.  Smiley

PS--this is my first project I've posted to Craftster!  I'm moving up in the world, haha.  Wink
