you will get better with experience but don't strive for perfection. the beauty of the quilt is in it's imperfections.  If you think about the history of quilt making women used what ever scraps they had to make a blanket. crazy, wacky, lines all over the place. the point was to keep warm. The quilt stitch was to sandwich all the layers together.  Back then you could tell which family someone belonged to by their quilts. the fabric in the quilt and the fabric the family members wore was the same fabric.

latch hooking was my first craft too! I was a kid, i  got it as a pass off because someone else got tired of it.  I think my first full one was mickey mouse.  Lucky is my favorite carebear.
