I have lurked on Craftster for far too long!  After the spotlight in the Craftster blog a couple of weeks ago, I decided to try my hand at making a Poppet.  I worked on it, off and on, for two days, and I think it turned out pretty good!



I have been making different types of softies/toys for a while, but I have never delved into some of the techniques that I was able to try with the Poppet.  Thanks so much to ghilie for making this pattern available!  I really learned a lot, and it wasn't nearly as hard as it looked.



Making an anatomically-correct doll was also a fun little adventure

Hi!

I am pretty new here, and to crochet in general!  I am getting the simple amigurumi down and am in the process of making a frog and a toad for my girls' Christmas.  What I really want is a pattern for a small cricket to make, as well (this is what we fed the frog and toad we had as "pets" this summer).  A grasshopper pattern would work in a pinch also. 

If anyone has a pattern they could share, or could tell me a book or an etsy seller to contact, I would much appriciate it!
