Heya Hippie9 - this is just a standard hemp / macrame knot, the first one is all square knotting, the second is the spiral knot when you only do half a square knot, and the third is square knotting with two different colors.
http://www.beadage.net/hemp/index.shtml is probably the best tutorial I know for these knots Smiley

Hehe thankies Beadingjunkee and Wireddesires. The first one has my favorite type of fiber beads on them, but I figured I would put on my next favorite type of bead to see how they would play together  Smiley McJulie, it seems like these are getting more and more common in bead stores / online shops - sometimes they're called mirage beads.

So ever since I've seen these things at the bead store, I've been addicted to them, and actually ran out for quite some time - got two new strands in a few weeks ago but had to put them on the back burner until now - so here's a few quickie mood bead pieces on hemp Smiley They're just like mood rings, they turn all sorts of cool colors. Gonna do lots more of these I think, just swamped at work so it's such a pain Sad

Hehe thanks for the photo compliments - still learning how to take really good pictures along with needing to find new props haha. The rainbow one is the fiber bead one, you were right Claire Smiley And the purple bead one is from a beautiful strand of amethyst I picked up at intergem Smiley
