Blythe really is Skipper-sized, a more modern doll would be Riley Kish.  Patterns for either of those dolls would fit wonderfully.  You could also try the patterns online at puchicollective.com or the links at squeakymonkey.com

There are two tutorials in Vol. 16 of Dolly Dolly.  The text is Japanese but the pictures are pretty straightforward.
