I'm pretty sure someone already asked but I couldn't seem to catch an answer... Why not turn the sleeves inside out when attaching them to the body?
if you pin them inside out you'll see why
This totally inspired me. I am without a doubt going to do something like this now.
I told my friend, whom I make stenciled t-shirts with all the time, about it, and he got really excited too.
We have a huge thrift store here in Boston that has a giant bin of ridiculous, and often huge, t-shirts for sale for a dollar each. This project is the perfect way to make some of those into something actually wearable.

I love dollar t-shirts. Are you talking about the Garment District? I definitely hit up that dollar bin every time I was in that store. Good luck with your sewing
