1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Recent Topper on: June 05, 2010 09:01:55 AM
My most recent topper, being delivered tonight just before the wedding!
Was in a mad rush to get the pics in, but I managed it in the end Tongue

OOAK polymer clay custom topper, slightly larger than usual (as per order) at 25cm
I've attached a (terrible) pic of the couple for reference, until I get a new one.

2  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Portfolio Bride cake topper-Give me your opinion! on: April 25, 2010 06:32:45 AM
This is a bride I made for my portfolio with the kind permission of the model who is also an Artist on DA.
Because the nature of my work means I always have to give away the end product. I wanted to make one for myself to keep in order to show customers and take to wedding shows. The groom with follow eventually.  Cheesy
I wanted the dress to be in simple Empire lines, but would like your opinion on whether I should give her a veil and something on her top (I'm thinking a glitter trim.)
All comments welcome!

3  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Rococo Extravaganza!! on: March 10, 2010 04:46:04 AM
This is my latest portrait topper (anniversary again)
The couple wanted a Rococo theme so I went a bit nuts!!  Cheesy
If they give me permission to put their faces online, I'll add a reference so you guys can give me your thoughts on the resemblance.

The food props in these images were bought from a very cool Etsy shop: http://www.etsy.com/shop/woollyduck. I hope this doesn't count as advertising cos it's not my shop.  Undecided

This my latest topper with a 20's-30's theme complete with period touches, hat, cane and spats! I love spats so I was very glad I got to create a pair! This was a very enjoyable topper to make!

Let me know what you think!

6  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Portrait Figures wedding topper commission on: January 06, 2010 11:21:57 AM
This is my latest wedding topper commission for a couple in Portugal.
They wanted something semi formal without the typical wedding atire. In all I'm pleased with how they came out, but I might have to do the photos again for my website before they get sent off.

Comments very welcome.

7  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / ADVICE NEEDED for acquiring materials. on: June 07, 2009 05:50:07 AM
I have a big problem and thought other crafsters might be in the same position so thought I'd ask if anybody can help.

I live in Cyprus and for about 3 years have had a friend in America forward a lot of art materials from companies that don't ship outside the US to me.
I would purchase my materials which would then go to his house and he would forward them on to me saving me a ton in shipping and customs charges. Here if you order anything from outside the EU that cost more that 26 euro, about $30 (including shipping!!!! GRRRR  Huh Angry) gets a customs charge. Unfortunately he can't do that for me anymore-moving away- so i've got a problem.

Anyone know of a person that forwards mail to you that isn't one of those companies that charge $5 per package received plus more to box plus more to ship??? I'm really desperate and any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

10  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Psycho Mommy Latest Doll, First Post! on: August 31, 2008 08:59:04 AM
Hi guys, I'm new here and I really like this place!!
Thought I'd take the plunge and do a first post.
I always prefer to see images in the topic than follow a link, but I've been having a lot of difficulty uploading pics lately, so I couldn't do it!
They always come out half green and I have to ask friends to help me out..

Update: I was able to sort it out and add a pic, which is kinda odd cos it wouldn't load for anything yesterday when I tried to put it my crafster gallery! Today when I went to try again there it was!! Go figure...

Anyway...
This is my latest OOAK doll, with a streak of lunacy...
