Your fabric choices are lovely and your work looks meticulous!  Great job  Grin  (I'm doing a truckload of aprons and things for a sale at the end of October and to keep from getting apron burnout I'm sewing different styles in both adults and kids....finding that mixing it up like that keeps it interesting)  Cheesy

Great idea! And thanks!

I have been throwing in other non apron projects after every couple of aprons. I suppose I could just take a break from sewing altogether..... Pffft! As if!  Cheesy

The styles and fabrics are amazing!  You could easily sell these for big $$, though I totally know what you mean about making tons of something, then being DONE... It isn't just getting sick of them, more a need to try a little bit of everything!  Smiley

Thank you  Smiley

And you hit the nail right on the head! I just have to switch things up every once in a while.

Thanks everyone for your kind words!  Grin

Eeek! How adorable!

Something like this would be perfect for little girls who love dinos, but are still girly!

I have to ask, did you use a pattern or make this up yourself.  I ask because my mom would absolutely love these!

Thank you  Smiley

No pattern for them, just sorta figured out a style that worked without too much difficulty to make!
9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Modern Retro Aprons! My Current Obsession! on: August 09, 2011 11:11:04 PM
My latest sewing projects have all been aprons. Maybe because I wanted to disguise my inabilities as a cook by at least trying to look good cooking.  Cheesy My problem is, once I make something, and am pleased with how it turns out, well... one finished item turns into 2, which turns into 3, until I completely get sick of them and refuse to make anymore.

That hasn't happened yet with these aprons! Here are 3 of about 10 I have made so far! All modeled by my dress form, I have affectionately named "Gertie" which to me sounded like an appropriate 50's housewife name.  Grin

I hope you like them!

Are you kidding me???!

I saw this thumbnail and thought, there is no way someone handmade a purse that nice, and then was TOTALLY mind blown when I saw this was a cake!

What an amazing job! I love it! This ROCKS!  Grin
