3  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: My Knitty French Market Bag on: March 08, 2005 09:43:24 AM
I have made several french market bags and they are great to throw many things into.  I found that a round casserole dish fits great to carry to a pot luck.
Have a great day

5  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Felting by machine on: October 16, 2004 06:34:02 AM
I thought I postedthis but I guess I didn't.  This is how I felt.  I put the item in a zipped up pillow case.  Through it in the washer on low hot water with a few drops of detergent and 12 tennis balls.  I let it run the complete cycle then I take it out and shape it over something and let it dry.  I have made many purses and this has worked fine.  I do like the cascade yarn.
Have a blessed day

Thrown the item in the washer on low.Add a little detergent and hot water. Then I also add 12 tennis balls thrown in to help.  This has worked great I have made many bags.  I just let it go through the complete wash cycle.  After it is done I shape it around a box or a bottle to shape it.  Let it dry and all works out well.  I like Cascade yarn.
