211  Plushies in Completed Projects by IdlersDesign on: December 07, 2009 01:12:56 AM
Made a terrycloth plushie for my 5 month old baby to give with St. Nicolas (Dutch holiday on the 5th of december, we give presents in stead of with Christmas) It looks nice, feels nice and is easy to hold for him, it's an elephant! I didn't put much stuffing in it, so it feels a little "floffy"  Wink.

The other side:

I think he likes it, but he was really tired that afternoon.. Wink

212  Re: Terrariums... and more! in Completed Projects by IdlersDesign on: December 07, 2009 12:44:00 AM
Forgot to post this one:
I also had a small plant and I didn't know what to do with it until I found this cute bottle in our local thrift store..
Before:

After:

It isn't completely closed, but the opening is small enough to keep the climate humid inside.

213  Terrariums... in Completed Projects by IdlersDesign on: December 06, 2009 01:44:00 PM
As I'm crazy about gardening and can't wait for spring to start (and winter is only just beginning) , I decided to make a few terrariums:

Moss and Ground-ivy found in the woods near my house.

This one is a bit messier, but hosts a little tropical plant with little heartseases on it.

And 2 pendant terrariums with a little moss in it!

It's so addicting to make terrariums!  Wink My husband says our house is starting to be a "Biodome". (referring to the last Dr. Who episode, where there's a huge biodome on Mars  Tongue)

Hi all,

Here are the pics of the beautiful package I received from Emerri:

First of all, it was all very nicely wrapped. And my cat was as curious as I was  Wink

And in the package.... a pair of fleece pants with matching little shoes, made with Japanese fabric!

And a longsleeve-onesie with a detail of the same fabric:

A too cute crocheted hat:

And (How did she know I'm planning on using cloth diapers, sure I didn't put it in the questionnaire  Shocked) my first fleece-flannel cloth diaper and a matching hat!
On the back of the diaper Emerri has stitched the profile of a cat, but forgot to take a picture of it. It's a very cute detail  Cheesy

Thank you for the lovely package, Emmeri!!

P.S. It's maybe a little off-topic, but as I don't see myself able of making cloth diapers myself, I'm planning om buying them. Do you guys have suggestions of brands that are good? And how many should I have on stock?

215  Candles?! in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by IdlersDesign on: July 16, 2008 06:32:04 AM
I recently started making candles. They're not sented, cause those fake sents make me puke  Shocked
It's just about the forms and the colours and they make great gifts.
anyone else around here who makes them?
PLz let me know what you think about these:
