I think the black one can be for the boys; what do you think?

22  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Chinese Knot Rainbow Earring on: November 24, 2013 06:35:30 PM
These 13 pairs of earrings are gifts for my friends. When I took them out of my bags, they were all screaming. Wink In fact, all 13 girls put on these earrings and line up for the photos is really fun.

these are cool, what did you make them out of?

Only satin cord is being used. It is a very traditional folk craft.

This is very well done! Did you make the Chinese knot from scratch? I'm thinking it would look nice in other colours too.

This is how it looks in RED.

28  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Chinese Knot Necklace (Cloud Knot) on: August 21, 2013 04:50:35 PM
I twisted the traditional cloud knot a bit and make this necklace.

It looks quit similar with the barrette I make last time, just a bit bigger. I love the result of the twist of the knot.

Yap, I agree. This one is in purple.

I did try to draw a scratch before I make a new knot pattern; however the result is ALWAYS different with my scratch. Sometimes it look better than my scratch; the other times it looks bad Cry
