I remember the first skirt my mom helped me sew. It was from a simplicity pattern and was SUPPOSED to be simple! We were doing everything together and everything was going smoothly until
my mom stopped helping me, thinking I could handle it on my own.
Shame, shame, shame
I sewed the whole thing BACKWARDS! That's were the sewing adventure was over and I turned my tornado right back to Kansas.
A couple of years later I learned how to sew and began making my own patterns and decided to make a dress. So I was sewing the dress with this fabric that had two different sides and I wanted to use one and the left side came out good but I forgot to turn the pattern over to match the sides, and let me just say...the dress was not cute. But I'm a trooper.
