1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / It's messy but pretty on: February 25, 2006 03:21:26 AM
Not to long ago I brought this blazer. It was your average houndsooth blazer and it was also a little to short in the arms so a rarely wore it. Well one day I decided either I could let it rot in the closet or make it wearable.

I added this fuzzy fabric that I had left over from a project that I never finished. The thing I hate about it is that the fuzz falls off and gets in my hair, on my clothes, floor, machine. I'm thinking of serging the edges maybe that'll help.

I've serged all the edges because I'm lazy it looks alright I'm lazy. (completely unimportant: It still has marker marks on it but I'll wash it soon and that'll be gone.)
2  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Completed Projects / My first pair of pants! on: February 24, 2006 11:21:38 PM
Not ever! These were the first pair I've ever sewn. The pattern was about 4 inches to small so I made sure to cut it large. They're pretty comtorable and I'm now giving myself a nice little pat on the back.

My mirror is flithy! I should be ashamed of myself Tongue

3  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Completed Projects / 2 (very pretty) shirts on: February 24, 2006 11:15:43 PM
Hey all! I haven't posted any projects in awhile but when I saw this board I decided I had to whip out the 'ole camera! I made these patterns from a couple of yards of fabric I found at the thift store.

The first shirt is based on a shirt I saw on an album cover and fell in love with.

The second I just came up with. I have an abundance of tiny gold belt buckles that I haven't used and I hate to not use things (don't you?).

Please excuse the bra straps. I unfortunately have yet to get my hands on a strapless Embarrassed
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / My first sewn dress on: July 25, 2005 02:50:04 PM
I've never sewn a dress before but after days of thinking on it, I got off my lazy ass and decided to do it!  I made it from a sheet! The bottom, I used a pattern and the top (not shown) I made a pattern for. I was inspired by a dress from http://www.daddyos.com/

Sorry, I didn't iron it after washing.

5  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / So I went a little howyousay bag crazy! on: July 21, 2005 10:11:24 AM
And here are the results (click to enlarge):

And I've finally made myself a wallet (excellent for carrying all 2 of my dollars! Big Money!):

7  Archive of Past Craftster Challenge Entries / CHALLENGE 3 ENTRIES / Sadist Secretary on: June 29, 2005 07:49:17 PM

My project was inspired by my recent viewing of the movie Secretary. I just wondered, what if the tables were turned? Wink

To make it, I found a left over box from some ice pops we had and I painted the background, then I drew and colored the Secretary and the Boss and made the little props out of air drying Crayola clay (that stuff is fun!), finally after waiting a day I painted the props and glued them to the floor (made out of the fabric from some slippers).
8  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Soda can and button rings! on: June 27, 2005 09:46:52 PM
I can never find rings that fit my fingers so I decided to make them myself!

The tops are made of the tops of buttons and the bottoms are made from soda cans that I cut and bended. I should have turned them the other way so it would be silver instead.
9  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / My new painted shoes on: April 17, 2005 09:48:33 PM
Before they were just boring, plain, thrift shop shoes but now!:

  Dirty freezer!

Honey, they're fabulous! Cheesy
10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Shirt inspired by Bebe on: March 24, 2005 07:34:48 PM
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v224/nva/PICT2040.jpg The sleeve
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v224/nva/PICT2038.jpgThe front
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v224/nva/PICT2035.jpg On me

It's based on this shirt from Bebe

I didn't really use a pattern I just traced a tank top I have and freelanced from there. I'm currently putting some big colorful dots on it to cover up the stains. It's an old fabric.
