well, ive been seeing a lot of christmas swaps and general holiday swaps but i think it would be nice to have a chanuka swap where partners crafted for all the 8 days of chanuka. each memeber would have their own mini gallery within the main gallery, as in the halloween swap, and all the packages would be labeled so that you knew which day/order to open it in. the only thing im not sure about is whether or not the swap should be a themed chanuka swap, such as a green chanuka, kitchy chanuka, etc. what do you guys think? would anyone be interested in organizing?
Last year, most of the things in my room were bought-they were really nice, but i wanted to make my room more personal by adding lots of crafted touches so here is what i came up with: here is a picture of my bed with the duvet/quilt that i made for my bed
here is my lovely mom(brown hair) and our awesome friend lisa who moved me in both this year and last year-thank you lisa!
here is my super awesome organizer thingy:

here is my little cake tissue box cover that doubles as a cell phone holder:
i love monsters-and monster shaped things(ie the monster purses and monster shoes)and was thinking, why cant halloween be cute? id love it if someone organized a swap where all the items had to be halloween themed, but adorable and sweet at the same time(think disneyland during halloweentime-everything is "spooky" but cute at the same time). and a 6 point swap. the 13 days of halloween thing is just too expensive for me.
so ive noticed that there are a lot of people around craftster who are in college or are going to college, and i was thinking, wouldnt it be awesome if someone had a swap just for us? there are so many different ways of decorating your dorm, or things that you need for college and it really gives your room a homey feel when things are handmade.
so i saw the 13 days of halloween swap and i was wondering are there usually more swaps of this nature?i just entered into one swap and it will be my first one but my birthday is halloween so i would love to have a halloween swap when the swap i am currently in is done. can you request for other people to create swaps?is there an etiquette as how to do it?
Well, for a while now ive been wanting to organize my crafting materials but my apt is tiny so there is not a lot of space for them. My mom and i went to ikea, and got some stuff off amazon for this-keep in mind that this room is not only my craft area, but my living room and dining room combined. despite its small size, i think its pretty and im happy with the way it turned out.
well this is the living room area:

hey guys-so I'm going back to school soon in August and i need a desk hutch to organize everything. the only problem is that they are usually super expensive-and i have no tools or opportunities to work with wood (i live in a tiny Brooklyn apartment so there is no room!)Do you guys have any ideas on how to make a faux one, or something that would serve as the same purpose? i would be extremely appreciative!thanks!
