1  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Selling Crafts on Etsy.com / First Sale on: August 09, 2011 05:49:40 AM
I am so excited I just made my first sale in my ETSY Shop.  I opened my shop in early July and was trying to be very patient.  It was a blue/green shawl now I need to get busy and make another one in a different color.  I think my knitting needles are going to be smoking.
2  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Selling Crafts on Etsy.com / New ETSY Store on: July 12, 2011 08:24:50 PM
I just opened a new ETSY Store and was wondering if anyone has any advice on making it a success.  I don't have Facebook or Twitter and I've never had a blog.  It seems like everything I read says I need these three things so I am coming to you for advice.

Thank you.

3  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Selling Hand Knitted Items on: January 26, 2011 06:03:49 AM
This has probably been asked before but I am going to ask again.

Do hand knitted items (baby items specifically) sell at Craft Fair in Florida.
4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Discussion and Questions / Looking for Charms on: December 01, 2009 12:54:22 PM
I am looking for inexpensive charms for a childs charm bracelet.  I can't seem to find anything.  Any ideas where I might find small charms preferably in sets for something like this.  Thanks.  flhusker
5  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Business Challenges on: November 30, 2009 12:03:24 PM
Does anyone else do strictly craft fairs?  Hubby and I have been doing them for almost 2 years now.  And things are really changing.  We make and sell handmade, herbal soaps and jewelry.  Hubby makes magnetic bracelet and I make the rest.

Last weekend we did a craft fair and barely made booth fee.  Is anybody else seeing this happening.

We need to decide if we want to continue or call it quits before it gets too costly for us.  If we can't make booth fee it really seems silly to continue.

6  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Tips for Participating in Craft Fairs / First on over and survived on: October 27, 2008 06:40:05 AM
Well my very first craft fair is over.  We did pretty good at it.  There were lots of crafters and lots of people walking around.  Several of the crafters said they sold very little, if anything.  I didn't do badly I thought.  I sold some soap and a little bit of jewelry.  My husbands photos drew a lot of attention but no one bought.  However, the big Santa cross stitch I had sold and it could have sold a 2nd time.  Somebody who came by early saying they would be back but wanted to check everything out came back about 30 minutes after Santa sold.  I really was happy with my first time.  My next one is November 7th and hope I can do as well.
