WOW is right!!  It really does look like laid brick, great job!!

I want to know...how the heck did you cut a roll of painter's tape in half??  That's the part I can't fathom.  Grin
42  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / "Seascape" covered jar - now with pics showing on: July 09, 2008 02:13:55 PM
Longtime lurker...first time poster!  I've gotten so many neat ideas that I wanted to contribute something.

I'm sort of a beginner with polymer clay so far, but here is one of my very first projects.  It's THE first one I'm proud enough of to post pictures of, in fact.  Smiley  Of course now that it's been a few months and I'm looking at these closeups I can see all kinds of things I wish I'd done differently, but hey..that's what being a beginner is all about, right?  Wink

(I'm "old" enough here to finally display pics!)

It started off as a blue glass decorative corked jar and is wrapped & topped with sculpey.  I made it as a mother's day gift for my mom - it's just the right height to hold q-tips and her bathroom is in a fish/underwater theme so it worked out nicely. Smiley

Hopefully soon I'll have time to make more projects...this site is extremely inspiring!
