21  A few invitations I made in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by spencerisgod on: February 01, 2011 04:11:47 PM
These are a few of the invitations I made for my little brother's birthday party. I had alot of little knick-knacks that I needed to get rid of and figured this was a pretty darn good way to do it:)

I erased the pencil marks before sending it off but I totally forgot to do it before taking a picture, lo siento:)

This one I ended up keeping for myself:) Turns out a seashell on an index card is too heavy to send out as an invitation, oopsies lol:d

Thanks for looking:)

22  One Planet One Chance in Screen Printing: Completed Projects by spencerisgod on: February 01, 2011 03:36:29 PM
This is my one planet one chance shirt. It's the first design I silk-screened ever and I'm very proud of it:) I'm now selling it at craft fairs, so any critiques are very welcome!

23  T-Shirt for Girl Scouts in Screen Printing: Completed Projects by spencerisgod on: January 07, 2011 12:08:21 PM
I was asked to screen some shirts for a girl scout troop and it was my first time using white ink....I loved and hated it. Messiest ink ever! It was also a pain in the butt to dry, but the results were far more consistent than other ink I've used. I would love to know the professional's secrets to using white ink.

If you've got any tips and suggestions for white ink (because I have tried a few more designs with the white ink and they were disasters), I will be forever grateful if you shared them:)

Thank you for looking:D

Sorry if this does not belong here, but twas for a birthday which I could not find listed under holidays. It has a scrapbooky feel so I figured this was a good spot:)

I decided to take the "I love you" pics with the letter with pics of me and my boyfriend or things that are important elements in our relationship rather than with just me...I think it turned out well and he really loved it:) 'Specially the one of my tummy.

26  fabric story book (IMG heavy:)) in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by spencerisgod on: February 24, 2010 02:02:53 PM
My boyfriend randomly told me this story, and I decided that it NEEDED to become a book and thus my creativeness took over...

The thingy to keep it in...very much inspired by an envelope and the fabric is very velvety and soft:)

The back of it...It says "To the only perfect thing in an imperfect world" in pretty gold thread that was not fun to use

"A Dog Called Bambi"-lyrics from a wonderful Panic song:)

"Once there was a doggy who lived in a world of rainbows and magical mushrooms. And one day this doggy went for a walk."

"While walking, the doggy met a giant bunny rabbit. It said, 'Hi Fred, what's your name?' The doggy just bit the bunny rabbit and ran away."
"So the doggy kept walking. Soon he met a giant squirrel who said, 'Hi Fred, what's your name?' Once again, the doggy bit him and ran away."

I had to include a closeup of the giant squirrel...he turned out sooo well!

"And the doggy kept on walking until he came upon a ghost. The ghost said, 'Hi Fred, what's your name?' The doggy tried to bite the ghost but since you can't do anything to a ghost, he was unsuccessful."
"'Why do you keep biting everyone?' The ghost asked. 'My name's not Fred." The doggy explained. Afterwards, the dog got anger management, never bit anyone again, and lived happily ever after."

The End

Thank you very much for looking:o) I'm super proud of this and I'm really happy with the way it turned out.

27  An adooorable totoro <3 in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by spencerisgod on: February 19, 2010 10:30:11 AM
It only took 2 years of trial and error and more error...but he's finally finished! I made the pattern myself from a bunch of other patterns and he totally didn't end up looking like he should have. Before I sewed him up he looked EXACTLY like Totoro, but then after the sewing and stuffing...he was a caricature of totoro. I hated him at first for changing...but then I realized...he's fricking adorable and i love him sooo much. I gave him to my boyfriend who loves him just as much as I Smiley

My cousin's decided to renew their vows because the husband is really sick and doesnt have much time left with us Sad It was a really bittersweet ceremony... Most of their wedding was diy with the colors being purple and white. They wanted a journal for people to write memories of them in so I put this together for them with a lil hot glue and fabric that was never gunna get used for anything else....

And here it is at the wedding
