Hi, I'm back and wow, have I missed a lot of beautiful crafts! (Pages and pages of them.)

I haven't really been able to concentrate on crafting lately (since February, I think), I've been focusing on purging and minimalizing my possessions. I participated in the minimalism game in June and decided to do it again in July, this time focusing on craft stuff. I couldn't wait 'till July Cheesy I started rummaging in closets and boxes and already found two weeks worth of stuff to donate and throw away.

Today I also crafted something after a long pause. I made some collages for the kids room using canvas panels (from stash) and their old favorite T-shirts (from stash, obviously). STill need to figure out how to hang them. I'll post a picture later, if I get my camera and computer to co-operate.

Oh, I like those crocheted blankets. No-brainer crafts are my favorites Smiley

I finished sewing my tunic. Technically it's not made from stash, and I havne't posted it on craftster yet, so no link (at least not for now), but I've been decluttering actively the whole time I worked on it.

I donated:
- a bag full of fabric dyes
- a huge bag of yarn

I threw away:
- a pile of old clothes that are really too old even for recycling or upcycling.

So, one thing for the month of February and one thing for the finished project and one just because there's too much stuff here Cheesy

March is the month when I will clean my walk in closet, so yesterday I dragged all my craft stuff out of there and holy taft there's a lot of it. I'm considering making a huge pile in the living room just to see everything at once. Maybe it would make it easier to just get rid of stuff. At least it helped yesterday. I'll list stuff here when I finish the tunic.

Hmm, I don't think I've said anything the whole month. I've been working on a hand sewn tunic. It's close to done, but not quite yet. I've destashed though: I donated two bags of yarn to friends and I have a lots of things lined up and waiting.

I really enjoy the slowness of hand sewing, and I've thought a lot about how it is actually the best solution for everything. I don't need new stuff (mostly) and none of the people around me neither, but I do need to craft. So it's best to choose a project that isn't finished the same day or the same week or month even. Does anyone else think like this? I tried to search for a related discussion, but couldn't find one and there doesn't seem to be a general crafting related area (or I'm just blind to it).

So what I learned in February: less stuff, less stash, less finished products more relaxing time while crafting.

EdelC I really like your list of resolutions Smiley

My next craft project is patching some old socks. The patches come from my stash of stripy knee-high socks (worn and torn), but I only need a little bit for each sock so I'm thinking of trying to let go of something large. I still need to think about this.

I finished mending the pyjama pants and threw away a pair of worn-through woollen socks (the last pair my grandma was able to knit), I thought I'd darn them or something. But honestly, I never will. And my grandma isn't in those socks anyway, so time to let go.

I'm headed back up there now.

Good luck Cheesy

I finished an upcycled skirt I started, um ten years ago? Better late than never, I suppose Cheesy

I'm going to release a couple of handfuls of horse shoe nails.

Next WIP or UFO: mending pyjama pants for my younger one before they end up being too small. They've been in the stash/WIP-pile for almost a year now.

But isn't crafting cleaning? Cheesy

The Penguin Hat of Doom and Fail is finished! Honestly I thought it would never be Cheesy I also finished a pair of mittens for friend's baby.

So it's time to decide another project to let go and that will be a bundle of colored sticks/rods (something like that) that one could use as decorative loom in innovative weaving. Or do some other craft with them. I'm sure someone will do something with them, I haven't for the past ten years.

sloth003 I bet those would look awesome in one block quilts! That's one thing I'll try one day. But right now I'm stuck knitting that penguin hat of doom and fail. I need to   unpick some _again_.
