1  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Nursery that isn't cutesy and doesn't suck. on: November 24, 2009 10:33:05 AM
So I'm pregnant. One of the things I am thinking about is how to decorate the nursery. Unfortunately I hate cutesy stuff. I don't want my baby living in a Noah's Ark, alphabet, polka dot and pastel hell. I want the nursery to be awesome, not cutesy. I don't know the sex yet, but I was hoping someone had ideas. I haven't been able to find a single website that caters to this type of thing. Thanks!
2  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Discussion and Questions / Spinning Aspirations on: December 19, 2008 01:48:46 PM
I am dying to learn how to spin. Every Friday I look at the yarn you guys make and ache with jealousy.

Does anyone have a ball park figure of how much it would cost to get the supplies I would need to start learning?

3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / What are these called!? on: December 15, 2008 11:11:39 PM
Can anyone tell me what type of pants these are or where I can find a pattern? I don't even know what to type in to google it! I loooove them.

4  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Lengthening the Inseam? on: July 26, 2008 05:58:05 PM
So, I have the pants and the crotch hangs too low. How do I move the crotch closer to my actual crotch? Would that be called Lengthening the inseam?
5  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Blank Negatives on: July 25, 2008 07:25:36 PM
I work in a photo lab and have been collecting negatives that develop without pics on them. I intend to make *something* out of them, but I can't figure out what. Any suggestions?
6  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / How do I close up a pillow? on: July 21, 2008 01:00:54 PM
So I finally learned how to use my sewing machine and I have been on a pillow-making kick. I make the case, turn it inside out and then stuff it. But I cant figure out how to close up the hole without there being this obvious deformity in the stitching. Any suggestions?
7  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Night-Light from Slides. (First Post!) on: July 08, 2008 12:46:12 PM
So when I was in high school, I accidentally got my film made to slides once and they have been laying around ever since. I got the idea to make a night light cover from them from an episode of Threadbangers. http://youtube.com/user/ThreadBanger
If I had enough slides I would make a full sized shade. That would be rad.
