21  What style is this dress? pleeeeease help! in Clothing: Discussion and Questions by Indiana on: July 17, 2009 06:21:46 AM
Hey all, Can someone please tell me what sort of style this dress/top is? I absolutely love the cut and it really suits me so I want to make one like this and am no good at improvising patterns! I would really just like to know what to look for in a pattern. Thanks so much!

I hope you can make the details out from the pics! Smiley

22  Miniature Christmas Village in Winter Holidays by Indiana on: December 02, 2008 08:33:17 PM

This is my current pride and joy. I made these houses, shops, church and gazebo from thin chipboard, painted and fixed them to a cardboard box which I cut in half and covered in green felt. Under the half-box, I poked holes through and fixed fairy lights in each of the buildings and then I sprayed with fake snow.

I'm happy with it but I hope that next year ill be able to expand my little village in to a town and hopefully Ill find some little model people in the right size.

I hope you like. Any suggestions or comments are welcome.

My mother in law asked me to make some stars for her tree so this is the result. They are made from felt (of course, I loooove felt) and I hand embroidered the names of all the family on.

24  Little Christmas Stockings in Winter Holidays by Indiana on: December 02, 2008 08:10:19 PM

Here are my mini stockings for our tree. I made these a few years back in assorted colours. I thought they were sooo cute when I saw them in the bhg magazine and I think they turned out pretty good.

I suppose you could prob make them for little gifts and fill with lollies. I might do that next year come to think of it! Smiley

Here is a costume I made for my three month old daughter to wear to her Grandma's Halloween party. She didnt wear it for long as I don't imagine it would be very comfortable but just long enough for everyone to ooh and ahhh over how cute she looked which was the plan! lol

Still got a zebra and a croc to go! Nearly there!  Smiley

28  Bug mobile for baby (Very Image heavy) in Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies by Indiana on: July 21, 2008 02:57:03 AM
I made this mobile for my daughter (due in less than a week! yay!). Her nursery is jungle themed so I thought it appropriate to make a mobile with bugs on it as the walls already have lions, elephants etc.

Here are pictures of the critters themselves, I made them to be viewed from under the mobile as it will be hung quite high. (please excuse my shoddy photography!)

butterfly

lady bug

dragonfly

snake/worm

dreamcatcher

oops, i completely forgot to take a picture of the bee! oh well, you get the idea!

30  Jungle Themed nursery in Interior Decorating: Completed Projects by Indiana on: July 21, 2008 12:09:42 AM
This is the nursery Hubbie and I have just finished for our soon to be daughter! We decided on jungle theme as apparently green is a very calming colour and we both love animals too!

Hubbie cut all of the animals on the wall out from mdf with his jigsaw and I painted them all with craft paint then stuck them to the walls with picture sticky tabs so that if we want to move them, they won't take the wall with them!

This is my first post so I hope the pictures come out alright!

Thanks!  Smiley
