Very cool, Roxy, thanks for the tips! Got any pictures?

I love that you threw in a couple tan squares and more dark brown squares. I have a feeling that curtains made solely from blue denim would look very dated.

Thanks, chahuahuas! My husband has jeans in different colors, so I thought I'd use those, too. Yeah, I like the way it turned out.

Yay! Somebody DOES wear bed jackets! I'll probably use mine this winter. Texas doesn't get as cold as more northern climes, but  it's cold enough. And we keep our house kinda cool, too. No central, so we use electric heaters or wood heat.

I gave them away as gifts, so I don't know if they stretched or not. I'm sorry, I don't know! Maybe you could experiment with different kinds of yarn to find one that won't stretch as much. Mine had a glittery plastic strand intertwined with it, so maybe that would keep it from stretching.  Undecided

Craftylittlemonkey, I HAVE seen that technique! It is on my list of things I want to do. Thanks for the pics!

craftylittlemonkey, that is just nifty! All those pockets, and all those colors! Love it!

Sheilaann, that sounds wonderful! I hope I see your thread when you post pictures of it! A denim quilt is wonderful to snuggle under in cold weather.

A small but satisfying project!

I found the tutorial here at FaveCrafts: http://www.favecrafts.com/Accessories/Crochet-Ring-Pattern#
These are quick and easy! I think I made one in just half an hour. I made several and gave them to my daughter's friends.

I found a neat tutorial about crafting with book pages: http://alisaburke.blogspot.com/2010/11/holiday-crafting-with-book-pages.html

This is what I came up with.
10  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / book page necklace on: May 15, 2011 06:21:57 PM
I found this tutorial and tried it for myself: http://www.mandipidy.com/2010/11/tutorial-book-page-necklace.html

And I found out I'm not very good at jewelry making! LOL But it turned out cute.
