I looove everything frilly and lacy. I love displaying my trinkets. Yet it didn't even occur to me to display my jewelry. So I got to work and here is the result!





Made from old picture frames, scrap fabric, tulle, lace and bows. Now maybe I should get some more jewelry to fill them... hmm seems like the perfect excuse to me!

RepentantAngel- A chain? That sounds like a good place to start! I sort of jumped in without knowing everything I should so a lot of my squares aren't really... well square. Your first scarf sounds like my first knitting experience! I was about 3 years old and I was sat down on at my Grandma's kitchen table and shown how to do it. We were on holidays and we left before she showed me how to join new yarn so when I finished 2 seperate pieces I tied them together with a shoelace

Oh wow! That is just amazing. As someone who has just started crochet that is what I aspire to be! I can also sympathize with your frustration over your friend. I've had quite a few responses like that. Though even if it wasn't hand made I would have been so grateful to get an awesome gift like that!
