1  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / My first Cheytown inspired dress! on: August 06, 2008 10:25:01 AM
Well, I saw the tutorial and had to try it out for myself. In my typical style, I just went with it. So its a little different, but nothing special...

Here's the front:

Here's the back:

The dress is not nearly as uneven as it looks, the pics just don't do it justice.

Action Shot:

I enjoyed it so much that I bought several more shirts today (family day at the Salvation Army, half off all clothing, yeah!!). I can't wait to get started on them. Please let me know what you think.

Thanks for looking!
2  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Hi my name is Bobbi, and I'm a craftaholic... on: July 31, 2008 09:48:06 PM
I just posted my first recon, so I thought I'd add my second one as well...

I'm much happier with this one than I was with the first one. I also spent more time on it. I kinda used the idea of the hankerchief halter dress from Parksbird.com, but I just cut and sewed as I went along... Mostly winging it.

Here's the front...

And here's the back...

My DD is asleep, so she couldn't model this one for me. Please let me know what you think, any comments are welcome.

Thanks for looking!
3  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / This site is a bad influence! My first t-shirt recon... on: July 31, 2008 09:39:15 PM
I've only been a member here for about a week, but I'm lovin' it.

Here are a couple of pics of my first reconned t-shirt. It was one of my faves, but it's too small for me now, and has a stain. I figured it would make a great dress for my DD to destroy while we are camping.

It's a pretty simple recon, but I thought I'd share it anyways... Let me know what you think.
