2  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Peacock Wall Mural. on: October 05, 2012 12:25:55 AM
My room was getting a bit plain looking and it was time for a change.
So, I painted this triptych of a peacock.
(The words are from a Bible verse in Isaiah 55, if anyone is curious.)
I love how big and bright this is. Adds a lot of life to my little drab bedroom.

3  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / These animal voices. on: October 05, 2012 12:22:06 AM
Just a couple fun paintings I have done lately. Mostly done in acrylics on recycled pieces of wood. (Minus the rabbit and octopus one, that one is watercolors and ink on bristol)
Hope they brighten your day.

4  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / Van Gogh Starry Night Heels! on: November 17, 2011 01:08:34 AM
Van Gogh is my absolute favorite artist and Starry Night is one of my favorite paintings.
I had a pair of old heels lying around, so I covered them in some canvas like fabric and painted away!
I love the way they turned out and I love wearing them around. I also painted the church and buildings on the back of the heel, but I totally forgot to take a picture.

IN progress:

hope you love 'em!
5  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Senior Class Silhouette Sweatshirts on: May 14, 2011 06:57:50 PM
My senior class asked me to design our class sweatshirts this year. We decided it would be cool to do our silhouettes on the background. So we took a picture of our entire class and I made this design. It was the first digital art I have ever made and I am pretty proud of it.

The final sweatshirts look like this- We all have a nickname on the back which is really fun.

And the front looks like this

I think they turned out cool, and I am really happy with the design I came up with (Even though I didn't print them the whole design was my idea...with inputfrom the class of course)

After I handed them out to the class on Friday almost everyone wore their sweatshirt all day...even though it was super warm that day...Which made me feel happy, I'm glad they all like them  Grin
6  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Escapism Hair Series on: May 06, 2011 10:25:51 AM
I decided to take AP Art for my Senior year. We were required to have a series of 12 paintings around a centrsal theme. My concentration was escapism, focusing on the imagination literally coming out out the head into the hair.  Cheesy They are all self portraits and all ink and watercolor images.
I won't post all 12, but here are my favorites...Let me know what you think.

"Lorikeets"

"The Great Commission"

"Claustrophobia"

"Feburary Day"

"Tea Tax"

"The End"

I created this for my church. The pastor is starting a new sermon series and asked if I could create the artwork. (Usually ends up in the Power point, on the bulletins, on posters)
