11  Playing with Fonts in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by Smuckers9 on: August 22, 2010 03:23:22 PM
I created this for my church. The pastor is starting a new sermon series and asked if I could create the artwork. (Usually ends up in the Power point, on the bulletins, on posters)

I've missed my journal! It's been so long. Partly because I have been so busy and I have been feeling rather uncreative lately. But I think I'm back into my crafting-self  Cheesy
Here's a couple of pages I've done recently.

(I hate the chapter number showing through...do you think I should try to cover it? I lovee the page, that aside.)

16  Sisters Painting in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by Smuckers9 on: April 19, 2010 04:09:44 PM
I painted this portrait of my sister and I when we were young for my grandma. She has been wanting a painting from me for awhile so I finally decided what to paint. I love how it turned out. It is acrylic paints on paper. The baby is my sister and I am the blonde haired girl. I will try to get the picture of the two of us I used up here soon. Smiley

19  Where the Wild Things Are in Pottery, Ceramics, etc: Completed Projects by Smuckers9 on: April 03, 2010 10:24:39 AM
I have made it a tradition to paint children's book's characters on my pottery whenever I go to a pottery place. I have painted a Very Hungry Caterpillar Plate, and a Horton Hears a Who Plate and This time I chose to paint a where the wild things are canister (I wanted to do another plate but they didn't have any tht were big enough  Sad) I wanted the knob on the top of the canister to look like the moon and the character are letting the wild rumpus start all around the sides of the canister  Cheesy The top says "Let the wild rumpus start!"
So here i my Where the Wild Things Are canister.

I was very inspired by BananaAmbush's tunnel bookhttp://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=330609.0
So I decided to come up with my own. I have never done anything like this but I loved it and I plan to make many more. I loved making it. I hope you enjoy it!
